3 cups milk (2c whole 1c half &half)
1 cube butter
1/2 c sugar
2 tsp sugar
1/2 cup water
2 pkg dry active yeast
2 eggs
9 cups flour
Measure out milk into glass container and heat with butter for 3-3.5 minutes in microwave.( Do not over heat or yeast will scorch). Pour salt and sugar into mixing bowl and add warm milk and butter. Dissolve yeast in warm water with a pinch of sugar to help activate the yeast. Add yeast to milk mixture. Gradually add flour and knead dough.
Let raise until double in size - 1 hour. Divide dough in two. Roll each half out separately. Roll out round. Cut dough using a large pizza cutter into 8ths. Then each 8th into 3rds. Roll each piece up beginning with large end crescent style. Dip each roll in warm water, completely submerging and place on a greased pan. In total, you will fill 2 jelly roll pans. with 24 rolls - 3 rows of 8. Cover rolls and let raise until double - 1 hour.
Bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown. Immediately brush melted butter on top of rolls .
